“Blessed Sinner has good characters, engaging romance and enough unexpected turns in the plot to keep a reader nicely entertained and eager to read what happens next.” ~Rob Carr,  Judge 2020, 2021, 2022 Maxy Annual Book Awards

“… this book invites readers to step into a richly woven tapestry of emotions, passion, and redemption set against the backdrop of a Victorian era. The narrative follows Viscount Thomas Devereux, a man scarred by loss and pain, who vows to shun love and embrace hedonism. The story takes a compelling turn as he joins forces with his friend Henry, who carries his own burdens, and together they embark on a journey of personal growth, love, and self-discovery.
The author’s genuine emotions and affinity for the Victorian era shine through, creating a tapestry that resonates with readers who seek a blend of heartfelt emotions and historical richness.” –Amazon Review

“A great read for the romance fan! If you enjoy the things lovers go through to be together this is the book for you!” ~ Amazon Review

Her hands in his, he kissed her cheek. She was so soft! He gazed into her face, into those eyes that held him so deeply within them. Brushing his hand across her cheek, he felt it warm where he had just kissed it. She nestled her face against his palm and closed her eyes. He felt her breath on his skin, and impulsively leaned into her and lightly kissed her. Her lips were sweet, and oh, how he wanted to lose himself in them. He pressed harder, his mouth moving urgently against hers.

Elizabeth had never kissed a man and had feared she would not live up to the moment. That fear faded as his lips pushed harder and she responded to them as if she had done this many times before. His hand drifted until it was firm against her back. He held her closer and the fire that flamed inside her left her unable to breathe.

Her kiss wound itself around his heart and he felt himself falling into her. He held on, not wanting to stop, not sure he could, his lips finding tremulous bliss in hers. The emotion behind his tears fluttered and changed until passion and salvation mixed with his sorrow.

The chimes of the drawing room clock reminded Thomas that time still ticked forward, yet the portrait of his mother held him and his father in the sway of the past. Charles spent his days in his chair beneath the painting, his eyes fixed on Sarah’s image. The old man remained lost in memories of a life gone forever.

Darkness settled through the lonely motes of dust that hung silently in all the rooms, a suffocating bleakness that Thomas longed desperately to escape. Each room held a trace of her, a wisp of her perfume or a stray glove. He longed to run, to find some refuge, but the only place he felt he might find any solace was now closed to him. The manor held the one threat to his heart.

Elizabeth had once occupied only a child’s place in his heart, and he had been safe when all she could offer him was a child’s love. He had tried to convince himself she could always occupy that place within him, but he couldn’t shake the memory of that night and her kiss.

Some might believe that love brought salvation, but Thomas no longer had use for love in any form. Eternal bindings and tender emotions crippled even the best of men, or so he believed, and he was determined he would not be brought down by something so intangible. Let that be for the likes of Henry.
